Position Details

Position Title: Health Programs Manager

Position Code: SMF/HPM03

Location: Lilongwe, Malawi

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee health programs that improve community well-being.
  • Monitor program performance, evaluate outcomes, and ensure compliance with health policies.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and reporting for health initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor program staff to achieve organizational goals.
  • Produce monthly reports and ensure timely documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in health program management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of health systems, policies, and community health needs.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Kobo Toolbox, CommCare, Salesforce, Canvas, and other digital health platforms.

Desired Skills

  • Data analysis and program evaluation.
  • Grant writing and fundraising experience.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse communities and cultures.
  • Must have a valid motor bike license.
