Job Overview
The Human Resources Officer will support the organisation’s human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll administration, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Management
- Manage recruitment, interviews, and onboarding of new employees and agents.
- Manage employee attendance, leave records, and payroll information.
- Support performance management and staff development initiatives.
- Coordinate staff training, induction, and performance appraisals.
- Handle employee relations and general HR administration.
- Maintain confidential employee records and HR files.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce data.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Malawi labour laws and company policies.
- Promote best practices in human resource management.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good knowledge of Malawi labour laws.
- Experience using digital communication platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong HR reporting and workforce data analysis skills.
- Previous HR experience will be an added advantage.
