This role is ideal for a professional educator who values integrity, discipline, and Christ-centred teaching, and is committed to inspiring students in Information and Communication Technology.

Position: ICT Teacher (1 Position)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging ICT lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
  • Teaching students computer literacy, digital skills, programming, and other ICT-related subjects as required.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting students' academic progress and performance.
  • Creating a positive, disciplined, and learner-centred classroom environment.
  • Integrating technology effectively into teaching and learning.
  • Supporting students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital citizenship skills.
  • Managing and maintaining computer laboratory resources and ensuring the safe use of ICT equipment.
  • Participating in school assemblies, staff meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and school management to support student learning and development.
  • Promoting Christian values and modelling exemplary conduct both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Upholding the vision, mission, and values of God's Grace Academy in all professional duties.

Qualifications and Attributes

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Be between 30 and 45 years of age.
  • Be a mature born-again Christian with a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education with specialization in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years' teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school or similar educational setting.
  • Demonstrate passion for teaching and mentoring young people.
  • Be a firm and fair disciplinarian with strong moral standards.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication, and classroom management skills.
  • Have sound knowledge of current ICT applications and educational technologies.
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Be physically fit and able to participate in and support school sporting and co-curricular activities.
  • Be able to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Be aligned with and respectful of the Christian ethos and values of God's Grace Academy.
  • Be willing to undergo background checks and comply with child protection policies.
