Background

ACADES FINANCE (ACAFIN) is a licensed microfinance institution seeking to recruit a qualified, competent, and experienced IT Officer to oversee the management, optimization, and support of our core microfinance system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage our core microfinance system.
  • Ensure system security, data integrity, and perform regular backups.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for stability and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with system vendors and service providers for support and upgrades.
  • Train staff on effective system use and provide ongoing technical support.
  • Prepare and maintain system documentation, user guides, and operational reports.
  • Support data analysis and reporting functions to meet business needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in IT systems, preferably within microfinance or financial institutions.
  • Experience with core banking/microfinance systems will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of databases, system administration, and IT security.
  • Proven experience in system implementation and project coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
