About the Role

Liwiro Finance Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about financial management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing various analysis and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Preparing a variety of reports to update management on progress made in various areas.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year end reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and supporting audit preparations.
  • Calculating, preparing and processing bills, invoices, inventory, reports, account statements, purchase orders, payroll and other financial statements.
  • Reconciliation of records with other administrative units.
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices, bills and other accounting documents or records.
  • Managing petty cash and its records
  • Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
