Job Description

This role is responsible for research, analysis and provision of relevant information, and for making recommendations on listed equity investments. The Junior role requires limited knowledge integration and focuses on specialist knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting full research coverage for annual financial results and preparing abridged reports for half-year results for all listed counters.
  • Reviewing internal forecasts against actual business performance and providing variance analysis.
  • Incorporating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) screening and evaluating into all comprehensive research reports.
  • Preparing detailed AGM (Annual General Meeting) analyses for all listed counters.
  • Planning, coordinating, and conducting meetings with management teams of portfolio companies to gather insights and validating research assumptions.
  • Preparing proxy forms and ensuring all votes for pension funds are cast in compliance with governance guidelines.
  • Preparing Statements of Advice (SOA) to support investment decisions for private wealth clients.
  • Drafting and updating Investment Management Agreements (IMAs) for all new private wealth clients and through annual service questionnaires.
  • Preparing monthly performance reports for listed equities outlining market movements, portfolio returns, and deviations from benchmarks.
  • Actively monitoring and managing portfolio exposures to ensure compliance with client mandates on a monthly basis.
  • Identifying mandate breaches promptly and ensure ratification is sought and resolved in a timely manner
