LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Job Purpose
The Laboratory Technician will support practical Science education by preparing laboratory facilities, equipment, specimens, and materials while ensuring safe and effective laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratories for practical lessons and experiments.
- Set up laboratory equipment and materials.
- Assist teachers and students during practical sessions.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and report faults.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of laboratory materials.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety standards.
- Monitor laboratory supplies and maintain inventory records.
- Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste.
- Maintain laboratory logs and records.
- Enforce laboratory safety procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Laboratory Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant school laboratory experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of laboratory safety and equipment handling.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
