Job Overview
The Loan Officer will manage fully digitized loan processes from client onboarding to portfolio monitoring, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires analytical skills, client-focused service, and the ability to monitor performance using digital systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboard clients and manage all loan applications through digital channels, and partner platforms
- Promote digital loan products via approved online channels and referrals
- Review and verify digital loan applications for completeness and accuracy
- Conduct credit assessments using system-generated data, transaction histories, and scoring tools
- Submit digital loan appraisal recommendations for approval within the system
- Ensure all approved loans are documented and processed entirely through digital workflows
- Monitor loan repayments and portfolio performance using dashboards and automated reporting tools
- Identify early warning signals of delinquency through system alerts and support timely intervention
- Collaborate with Collections and Customer Support teams to minimize defaults and maintain portfolio quality
- Engage clients digitally, providing guidance on loan terms, repayment schedules, and responsible borrowing
- Generate periodic performance reports and analytics for management
- Support internal and external audits by providing digital records and system reports
- Participate in system training and updates to enhance digital lending expertise
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–2 years’ experience in digital finance, fintech, or financial services
- Strong proficiency in digital systems, mobile money platforms, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
