Position: LOGISTICS EXECUTIVE
Location: Blantyre
Workforce Recruitment Services seeks to recruit for the following position on behalf of a Client.
The Logistics Executive will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement, storage, and distribution of products. The role requires strong coordination, cost control, and the ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive deliveries within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate transportation, distribution, and delivery schedules
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and sites
- Monitor and track shipments, proactively resolving delays or disruptions
- Liaise with transporters, warehouse teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
- Manage inventory flow, including stock movement, dispatch, and replenishment
- Ensure all logistics documentation (delivery notes, invoices, waybills) is accurate and complete
- Optimize delivery routes and transport utilization to reduce operational costs
- Monitor logistics performance and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare regular logistics and performance reports for management
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time delivery rate
- Reduction in transportation and logistics costs
- Accuracy of dispatch and inventory records
- Turnaround time for deliveries
- Reduction in delivery errors and losses
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
- Experience in FMCG, agriculture, or high-volume distribution environments is an added advantage
- Strong working knowledge of transport coordination and inventory management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
