Project Summary
Transforming Futures: Youth Leadership for Health, Equality, and Economic Empowerment is a rights-based initiative implemented in T/A Njewa, Lilongwe Rural District. The project supports marginalized youth particularly adolescent girls, young mothers, and youth living with HIV by strengthening leadership, promoting gender equality, improving access to health services, and enhancing economic empowerment.
Through vocational training, financial literacy and VSLA strengthening, climate-smart enterprise development, and mentorship, the project builds youth resilience and sustainable livelihoods. It aligns with Sida priorities, ADRA Malawi’s Strategic Plan (2025–2028), Malawi Vision 2063, and key Sustainable Development Goals.
Job Purpose
The M&E Officer will support the design, implementation, and management of effective Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems to ensure quality tracking, reporting, accountability, and learning in line with donor and ADRA Malawi standards.
Reporting to MEL Manager
Responsible For
- Implement project M&E frameworks, tools, and systems
- Track and analyse project outputs and outcomes
- Maintain accurate databases and documentation
- Prepare high-quality reports for donors and stakeholders
- Support M&E; capacity building for staff and partners
- Ensure data quality, safeguarding, and compliance standards

Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Economics, or related discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in donor-funded M&E; projects
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and communication skills
- Proficiency in M&E tools and data management software
