Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is the country's leading producer of raw, refined and specialty sugars; employing more than 9000 employees. Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is part of Illovo Sugar Africa Group; a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF).

Responsibilities or duties

  • Integrating and coordinating section resources requirements for season and offcrop to optimize resource levelling across the operations.
  • Consolidating sectional specific plans and schedules into an overall integrated site plan, Facilitating resolution of schedule and/or plan conflicts.
  • Managing and coordinating the CMMS & CBM programme on site and driving CBM effectiveness.
  • Promoting and adhering to plant modifications process through planning system.
  • Coordinating and assisting with bearing & gear inspection, and thermography & oil sampling for the plant.
  • Managing that offcrop plans and schedules are delivered.
  • Providing input into scope changes for the purpose of alignment to business affordability.
  • Integrating & coordinating project & capital implementation (resource levelling, asset master data, plant mods).
  • Managing planning department adherence to iAMP policy and technical work planning and control standards.
  • Promoting and adhering to Illovo's procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong organizing skills
  • Able to work methodically and systematically.

Experience needed

  • 3+ years' experience in maintenance and/or maintenance planning.
