Background

Tradeline Corporation Limited (TLC) is implementing the GROW Project to expand economic opportunities for youth and women in Malawi.Local business partnerships

The project strengthens agricultural markets by improving connections between farmers, aggregators, and processors, while addressing challenges like poor coordination, supply gaps, and limited market access.

Through a Market Systems Development approach, GROW promotes structured market linkages, inclusive sourcing, and efficient aggregation systems.

To drive this on the ground, TLC is deploying Market Facilitation Officers (MFOs) to connect farmers with reliable markets.

What MFOs Do:

  • Link farmers, aggregators & processors
  • Align production with market demand.
  • Strengthen aggregation & structured trading
  • Ensure quality & compliance
  • Track impact: volumes, jobs & incomesHR consulting services

Qualifications and Experiences:

Certificate/Diploma in Agribusiness, Rural Development, Agricultural Extension, Business Administration, or related field, with at least 3 years’ experience in agricultural markets, value chains, and working with Farmer Organisations and SMEs.

Key Competencies

Strong facilitation and negotiation skills, ability to coordinate market actors, knowledge of aggregation and trading systems, data reporting skills, and high integrity.
