Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communication, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing the marketing process, from research to strategy implementation, managing campaigns across customer touch points / channels and creating brand awareness. The role requires strong marketing leadership, a balance of strategic thinking, creative execution, to enhance the First Capital Bank (FCB) brand and promote its products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Development of an actionable marketing strategy and plan in line with the First Capital Bank Group's marketing strategy to deliver measurable improvements in brand visibility, reach and awareness based on customer insight.
Develop and recommend brand positioning that is relevant, consistent, and unique to the FCB brand.
Develop a marketing mix for all product portfolios addressing retention and recruitment. Assist in developing marketing plans to deliver on First Capital Bank business and marketing strategy.
Provide support for marketing and advertising efforts to drive sales for all business units.
Provide sales tool kits and promo mechanic for branches and service centres.
Conduct periodic market research and competitor analysis to use the empirical evidence and robust data in strategy development, new product development and marketing plans.
Bring to life and sale of customer value propositions as well as tracking them.
Recommend and justify CVP/Product innovation and renovation.
Develop sales support strategy.
Develop efficient media plans to ensure brand presence through Above the Line communication including, traditional media (Radio, Newspaper, TV, OOH, Magazine) and Digital channels (social media, mobile, SEO, email, banner adverts, google ads, etc).
Develop Below the line brand communication initiatives to attract, recruit and retain customers including, (Events, direct sales, brand activation, merchant branding, personalized gifts etc.).
Develop digital marketing strategy that will manage the bank's reputation, digital community and position the bank as trusted and respected brand. And employ tools for measuring and monitoring the Bank's digital leadership.
Increase employee engagement with the Bank's goals and foster brand advocacy, through promotion of the Bank's objectives, products, and services to internal staff.
Identify, develop and coordinate sponsorship and CSR projects for the bank.
Develop a marketing budget to deliver the most effective use of capital for FCB.
Monitor the use of the marketing spend against the budget and the effectiveness of ROI of the spend.
Competencies
Tech Savvy (Knowledge of AI and MS applications)
Creative at heart
Sound Copy writing skills in English and vernacular languages
Proactive and results – driven
Public speaker
Basic business acumen and financial budgeting skills
Qualifications and Requirements
A bachelor's or master's degree in marketing/business or relevant field.
Post Graduate qualification in Marketing will be an added advantage.
5 to 8+ years' experience in a marketing management.
Marketing, Sales and advertising industry knowledge.
Ability to work at a local and international level.
Highly adapt to understanding and interpreting data.
