ABOUT THE ROLE

PACT Secondary Schools is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Secondary School Teacher. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering quality education, supervising students, and contributing to the academic and administrative functions of the school. This role requires a mature, disciplined, and result-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with staff and motivate students to excel.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• A relevant Degree in Education or its equivalent with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Candidates with a Diploma in Education and more than 5 years of post-qualification experience may also be considered.
• Must be mature with evidence of sound leadership skills.
• Result-oriented and able to motivate students effectively.
• Well-disciplined with the ability to relate well with other teachers and support staff.

• Major: English
• Minor: Chichewa
• OR
• Major: Physics
• Minor: Mathematics and Computer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that lessons are conducted smoothly and according to schedule.
• Supervise students during school hours and school-related activities.
• Prepare lesson timetables and participate in the overall school timetable preparation.
• Serve as a member of relevant school committees.
• Prepare schemes of work and records of work.
• Maintain and update the mark record book.
• Collaborate effectively with Heads of Departments and other staff members.
