Background
PJK&Partners Consulting Ltd is one of the leading engineering consulting firms in Malawi, with a strong track record in the supervision of major road infrastructure projects. The firm is currently providing consultancy services for the supervision of the upgrading, rehabilitation and reconstruction of a road to bitumen standard with asphalt concrete surfacing, an assignment to be undertaken over a contract period of 18 months. To establish the site supervision team, PJK&Partners Consulting Ltd invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
MEASUREMENT ENGINEER
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out measurement of completed works on site, together with the Surveyor.
- Compile field measurements and calculate quantities of work incorporated in the works.
- Review the Contractor’s monthly interim payment applications and progress claims.
- Assist the Resident Engineer in certifying payments and checking quantities against billed amounts.
- Maintain accurate records of all measured works on site.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum qualification of a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Documented experience in the capacity of Measurement Engineer on at least three (3) road projects of similar size and nature in the region of Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Candidates with ten (10) years or more of relevant experience in the supervision of road works will have an added advantage.
