Position Overview
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Mental Health Clinical Officer will provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments and diagnose psychiatric conditions
- Develop and implement treatment and care plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in line with guidelines
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Clinical Medicine with specialization in Mental Health or Psychiatry
- Registration with the relevant Medical or Clinical Officers Council
- Valid practicing license
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mental health services
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is an added advantage
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Willingness to work with people with mental health conditions
- Commitment to the organization’s Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy
