We operate a modern quarry and plant facility supplying high-quality Cement to the Malawian market and beyond. We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position: –
MINES – MANGOCHI
Job Description:
Planning daily works and supervising staff & machines.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily mining activities (drilling, blasting, hauling, and excavation)
- Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Monitor production targets and implement strategies to improve productivity
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
- Lead, train, and motivate mining crew members
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of mining equipment
- Report operational progress, incidents, and challenges to management
- Coordinate with engineers, geologists, and other departments
- Enforce company policies and standard operating procedures
- Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
- Valid blasting licence
- Proven experience in mining operations
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of mining methods and equipment
- Understanding of safety standards and mining regulations
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in remote and physically demanding environments
- Minimum of 5 years experience.
