About Moyowathu Wabwino (MwB)

Moyowathu Wabwino (MwB) is a Malawian non-profit, non-governmental and non-partisan organization committed to inclusive, accountable and sustainable development. Position Purpose

To support MwB’s results measurement, data management, accountability and learning systems so that credible evidence is generated for programme improvement, organizational decision-making, reporting and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

MEL Systems and Results Frameworks

  • Support operationalization of MwB’s MEL Framework and Strategic Results Framework.
  • Develop and maintain indicators, data collection tools, reporting templates, trackers and monitoring plans.
  • Support establishment of baselines and targets and ensure programme results frameworks align with organizational and donor requirements.

Monitoring, Data Management and Quality

  • Coordinate routine collection, verification, analysis and secure storage of programme performance data.
  • Maintain organizational databases, indicator trackers and performance dashboards.
  • Conduct data quality checks and support field monitoring, assessments, surveys and evaluations.
  • Promote appropriate data disaggregation, including by sex, age, disability and other relevant characteristics.

Accountability and Community Feedback

  • Support accessible community feedback and complaints mechanisms and track management responses.
  • Promote community participation in monitoring, reflection and evaluation.
  • Ensure data and feedback processes meet safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection requirements.

Learning and Evidence Use

  • Analyze programme data and prepare performance reports, dashboards and management briefs.
  • Facilitate reflection and learning processes that support adaptive management.
  • Document lessons, case studies and outcome stories and contribute evidence to proposals, donor reports and Board reports.
  • Support strategic reviews and evaluations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health or another relevant discipline with quantitative or research content.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, data management or programme learning.
  • Experience developing indicators, data collection tools, databases or performance tracking systems.
  • Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications; experience with digital data collection, visualization or statistical software is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of results-based management, data quality assurance, accountability mechanisms and evaluation approaches is desirable.
  • Strong written and spoken English and ability to work effectively with community and institutional stakeholders.
