Location: Airwing, Lilongwe

Type: 24/7 General Medical Care Facility

Job Summary:

Provides professional nursing care to patients, assists doctors during consultations and procedures, administers medications, and monitors patient conditions in a 24/7 clinic environment.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Conduct patient assessments, triage, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist doctors with examinations, minor procedures, and emergency care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing records and patient charts.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
  • Ensure infection control standards are maintained in clinical areas.
  • Participate in night shifts, weekend duties, and emergency coverage as required.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Valid practicing license from the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi.
  • Competence in basic nursing procedures, patient monitoring, and emergency response.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.

Experience needed

  • At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in outpatient or emergency care.
