OVERVIEW

The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) is a parastatal organisation established by an Act of Parliament to conduct such academic and other examinations at the conclusion of any approved course in Malawi as it may be considered desirable in the public interest and award certificates to successful candidates in such examinations.Malawi business directory

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacant position:

OFFICE ASSISTANT (GRADE M11)

Number of Posts: Two (2)

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sweep and clean office premises, pathways, parking areas and surrounding grounds.
  • Cut grass, trim hedges, prune trees and maintain flower gardens and lawns.
  • Water flowers, trees and lawns as required.
  • Collect and properly dispose of litter and other waste within the premises.
  • Assist in loading, unloading and moving office equipment, furniture and other materials.
  • Ferrying files from office to office.
  • Delivering mail and official messages.
  • Serving refreshments to members or staff and visitors.
  • Perform messenger and other general office support duties as assigned.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
  • At least two (2) years of practical experience in grounds maintenance and office service.

  • Good physical fitness.
  • Hardworking and reliable.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player.
