Introduction

To maintain a clean, organized, and safe office environment and provide general support by running errands and assisting with day-to-day operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain offices, common areas, restrooms, and the surrounding premises.
  • Ensure office supplies and pantry/kitchen areas are tidy and well-stocked.
  • Assist with deliveries, setting up meeting rooms, and other office errands as required.
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables according to company standards.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Follow company policies and maintain a professional and cooperative attitude.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent; a certificate in office administration is an added advantage.
  • At least one (1) year experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.

  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness within an office environment.
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise routine tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail in cleaning, stocking, and maintaining office and common areas.
  • Basic communication skills to report issues, receive instructions, and interact respectfully with staff.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently.
  • Physical stamina and willingness to carry out manual and repetitive tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a professional and cooperative attitude.

Performance Metrics

  • Consistent cleanliness and proper upkeep of offices, restrooms, common areas, and surrounding premises.
  • Timely completion of daily cleaning schedules, errands, and assigned support tasks.
  • Availability and responsiveness in supporting meetings, deliveries, and office set-up requirements.
  • Proper disposal of waste and adherence to hygiene, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Prompt reporting of maintenance, safety, or supply issues to supervisors.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and adherence to company policies and workplace conduct standards.
