1. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Office Cleaner will be responsible for keeping office spaces clean, organised, and hygienic in order to create a safe and pleasant working environment.

2. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mop and vacuum floors.
  • Clean desks, windows, and office furniture.
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
  • Clean and sanitise restrooms and kitchens.
  • Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissues.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues.
  • Follow health and safety cleaning standards.

3. QUALIFICATIONS

Academic Qualifications

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).

4. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Reliability and honesty.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
  • Previous cleaning experience will be an added advantage.
