Background

Chuma Changa Credit Limited is a growing microfinance institution committed to empowering individuals and small businesses in Malawi. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Managing and optimizing all operational processes, including loan origination, disbursement, and recovery.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Leading and motivating the operations team to achieve performance targets.
  • Monitoring operational performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the microfinance or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of microfinance operations and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and operational tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
