Operations Manager

Reports to: CEO/MD

Direct Reports: Production Coordinator, Supply Chain Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator

The Operations Executive is responsible for overseeing the daily operational activities across Commercial Printing Production, Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics. This role ensures the efficient integration of operational workflows to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives. By driving strategic initiatives, process optimization, and cross-departmental coordination, the incumbent will support the company’s growth and service delivery excellence.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Set, track, and analyze operational KPIs; use data-driven insights to enhance team and company performance and reduce costs.
  • Identify inefficiencies and operational risks; initiate continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

2. Departmental Leadership and Coordination

  • Provide leadership to Production, Supply Chain, ICT, and HIS Coordinators.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment between departments to meet production schedules and client delivery timelines.
  • Act as the operational liaison to senior management, aligning departmental activities with corporate priorities.

3. Production and Quality Oversight

  • Monitor commercial printing workflows and production schedules to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with technical specifications, resolving production issues proactively.
  • Drive initiatives to improve throughput, resource utilization, and production capacity.

4. Supply Chain, Logistics & Inventory Management

  • Oversee procurement activities, inventory levels, and supplier relationships to ensure material availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Supervise fleet and logistics operations, ensuring optimal vehicle utilization and delivery performance.
  • Ensure robust inventory tracking and implement demand forecasting for stock optimization.

5. Team Leadership and Staff Development

  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct team performance reviews, coaching, and professional development programs.
  • Lead regular team meetings to align objectives, address challenges, and share updates.

6. Compliance, Risk and Facility Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance to support a safe, productive work environment.
  • Enforce adherence to company operational procedures and SOPs.

7. Financial Oversight and Reporting

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost control and resource efficiency.
  • Analyze and report operational performance, KPIs, and strategic initiative outcomes to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in operations leadership within commercial printing production, manufacturing, supply chain or similar industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and drive operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of production workflows, supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in operational and project management software/tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven stakeholder management.
