OPERATIONS MANAGER
Reporting to the Site Construction Manager, you will:
- Diagnose and resolve operational challenges in real time, ensuring daily execution aligns with strategic objectives.
- Apply practical methodologies to optimise workflows and balance productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee daily site operations, anticipate risks, and implement tactical interventions to mitigate delays.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all construction activities.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and inventory with a focus on cost control and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor teams to maintain discipline, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Coordinate closely with HR, finance, and project management to align workforce performance with site objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field (recommended).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in large-scale construction, mining, or industrial operations.
- Proven expertise in commissioning, plant management, and tactical decision-making under pressure.
- Strong background in operational risk management, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage contractor deliverables effectively.
- Excellent organisational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to safety culture, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement in operational performance.
