OPERATIONS MANAGER

Reporting to the Site Construction Manager, you will:

• Diagnose and resolve operational challenges in real time, ensuring daily execution aligns with strategic objectives.
• Apply practical methodologies to optimise workflows and balance productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee daily site operations, anticipate risks, and implement tactical interventions to mitigate delays.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all construction activities.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and inventory with a focus on cost control and operational efficiency.
• Lead and mentor teams to maintain discipline, accountability, and performance excellence.
• Coordinate closely with HR, finance, and project management to align workforce performance with site objectives.

To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:

• Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field (recommended).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in large-scale construction, mining, or industrial operations.
• Proven expertise in commissioning, plant management, and tactical decision-making under pressure.
• Strong background in operational risk management, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage contractor deliverables effectively.
• Excellent organisational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safety culture, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement in operational performance.
