Mudzu Foundation Project

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANTS-Lilongwe Head Office (1 Position) | Internship Position

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and accounting ledgers.
  • Support processing of invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
  • Help prepare monthly financial reports and summaries.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Assist in filing and organizing financial documents and vouchers.
  • Participate in stock/inventory counts and reconciliation exercises.
  • Support the preparation of audit schedules and assist during internal and external audits.
  • Respond to financial queries from internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • Fresh graduate or with up to 1 year of relevant internship experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Pastel, or similar) is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
