Background

Zomba Diocese Health Commission operates under the Social Directorate of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba. Its mission is to advance the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting human life and providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services in a holistic manner. This is achieved through participation in collaborative networks and partnerships, aligned with the needs and capacities of the communities, and in accordance with Catholic core values and principles, to ensure the delivery of the high- quality services, the Commission is seeking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals for the following vacant positions at one of its health facilities St. Robert Health Centre (Sitima).

Duties and Responsibilities

Checking stocks and making orders from the bulk store.

Preparing drugs ready for dispensing

Issuing required medicines to patients and give instructions on how to use and store the medicine.

Management of pharmaceutical supplies for Health Facility Wards.

Preparing limited range of medicines including packaging and labelling under pharmacist supervision.

Keeping adequate records of all stocks into existing pharmacy units, i.e. the health Centre dispensary.

Ensuring proper and complete recording of data in relevant registers and instruments.

Timely compilation and analysis of data, performing routine monitoring following HMIS guidelines.

Taking necessary action for improvement and submitting quarterly and other reports to the designated officer.

Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Diploma in Pharmacy from a reputable institution

Registered with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority

2 years work experience will be an added advantage.
