JOB OVERVIEW
Mwaiwathu Private Hospital Limited invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Phlebotomist. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate blood specimen collection and handling to support high-quality laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood specimens for laboratory testing
- Correctly identify patients and match test requests
- Select, label, and handle specimen collection tubes accurately
- Perform venipuncture and provide appropriate post-puncture care
- Ensure proper placement, handling, and transportation of specimens
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- Formal training in Phlebotomy from a reputable institution
- Diploma in Nursing or a related field will be an added advantage
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Integrity, confidentiality, and reliability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills
