Job Summary & Role Scope

The Primary School Teacher (Standards 1–3) will plan and deliver high-quality, engaging instruction tailored for early primary learners. The teacher will build a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth within a safe and stimulating classroom environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Teaching Qualification: Primary Teaching Qualification/Certificate from a recognized institution.
• Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Teaching Council of Malawi (TCM).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience teaching Standards 1–3.
• Added Advantage: Experience or formal training in Early Childhood Development (ECD) is a strong plus.
• Skills: Excellent classroom management, communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.

• Plan, prepare, and execute quality, child-centred lesson plans for Standards 1–3 learners in accordance with modern pedagogical standards.
• Maintain effective, positive classroom management and discipline conducive to learning.
• Support learners’ academic, social, emotional, and physical development, offering individual assistance where necessary.
• Create a safe, engaging, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom atmosphere.
