Background

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions tenable in the Private Banking Department.

Role Context

Reporting to the Suite Leader, the successful candidate’s responsibility will be to provide personalized, relationship-focused services to the Sub-Segment, enhance cross-sell opportunities, and ensure adherence to risk management controls and credit procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among other responsibilities:

• Ensure all required documentation is provided for account opening applications and open or upgrade migrated accounts.
• Refer any requests to close a client’s primary account or any investment accounts to the Private Banker.
• Attend to the closing of secondary accounts when no longer operational nor required
• Handle inter-account transfers and electronic inter-bank payments.
• Order replacement debit or credit cards upon customer request.
• Load Queries and monitor to ensure that they are resolved within laid-downturn-around times.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and support migration initiatives
• Ensure that sales tracking forms are completed tor capturing on a weekly basis.
• Monitors routine controls in line with agreed policies and procedures to mitigate loss.
• Submit quality control of reports and incident reports of fraud to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain product profile for portfolio updates.
• Ensure that sales tracking forms are completed for capturing on a weekly basis.
• Ensure filing for portfolio is done daily and that records kept in terms of the KYC.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Private Banking, Relationship Management, Sales or a similar client facing financial services environment.
