Role Summary

Production Controllers are responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination, and control of production and packaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing in accordance with brewery Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.

The role involves supervising production staff, monitoring output and quality, reconciling raw materials and packaging materials, controlling stock movements, enforcing safety and discipline, and ensuring accurate reporting in a high-pressure production environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality, minimizing losses, controlling costs, and supporting continuous and uninterrupted production operations.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong leadership, analytical, and people-management skills
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and under pressure
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Syspro knowledge an added advantage

• Overall planning, coordination, and control of end-to-end brewery production operations, including brewing, packaging, and dispatch functions.
• Providing strategic and operational leadership to the production function.
• Ensuring optimum resource utilisation, high productivity, cost control, and uninterrupted production.
• Direct leadership and oversight of Production Controllers and production teams.
• Driving performance, discipline, safety, and accountability across all shifts.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Managing waste and loss reduction.
• Monitoring key operational performance indicators.
• Ensuring timely analysis and reporting of variances to management.
• Aligning production execution with business objectives.
• Maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.
