Background
LUANAR is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer, or Staff Associate in Development Finance. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, consultancy, and curriculum development while providing expertise in finance, microfinance, and development-related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Development Finance.
- Develop and review curriculum and instructional materials.
- Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research.
- Prepare competitive grant proposals and consultancy projects.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance.
- Participate in outreach, professional training, and faculty administration.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A Master's degree in Development Finance or Finance from a recognized university for appointment at the Assistant Lecturer level.
- A PhD in Development Finance from a recognized university for appointment at the Lecturer level and above.
Applicants should also demonstrate proficiency in teaching:
- Marketing and Market Research
- Product Development for Microfinance Institutions
- Quantitative Methods
- Microfinance and Development
- Managerial Aspects of Microfinance
- Digital Finance
- Micro and Small Enterprise Development
Other Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least a Credit for Staff Associate applicants.
- Minimum three (3) years' relevant experience.
- Evidence of publications and successful research funding for senior academic appointments.
Terms and Conditions
Initial two-year contract with the possibility of permanent appointment based on performance.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Development Finance.
