OVERVIEW

Kindle Orphan Outreach is a local Christian, charitable, non-denominational, non-profit, non-government organization established in Malawi in 2000 and registered as a Trust in 2002

Kindle is motivated by the desire to bring the light of Christ’s hope to vulnerable communities. Kindle works with vulnerable communities to promote resilience and self-reliance so that they become productive members of society.

Kindle’s strategy lies in four main areas:

These areas overlap and work together.

We are seeking a passionate, qualified, and results-oriented individual to fill the following position:

Programs Manager

Location: Salima – Nanjoka

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the organization’s social enterprise initiatives.
  • Develop business strategies to improve sustainability and revenue generation.
  • Build partnerships with stakeholders, clients, and investors.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and reporting.
  • Identify new market opportunities and growth areas.
  • Ensure alignment between enterprise activities and social impact goals.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor organizational programs and projects.
  • Coordinate program activities and ensure timely delivery of objectives.
  • Manage relationships with partners, donors, and community stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports, budgets, and work plans.
  • Work hand in hand with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer.
  • Supervise program staff and consultants where necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Project Management, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, social enterprise management, or program management.
  • Strong leadership, financial management, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in community-based or non-profit environments is an added advantage.
  • Experience managing farms with diverse agricultural activities and ventures will be highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Experience in donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
