Background
Adziwa Christian School (ACS), a ministry of Capital City Baptist Church (CCBC), is seeking a dedicated professional to help reduce poverty in the Kauma community. ACS provides quality education and support to orphans and less privileged children to empower the next generation.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in the development sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Program design, log frames, result frameworks, budgeting, and grant management.
- Fundraising: Proven ability to develop “winning” concept notes and project proposals.
- Communication: Skilled at presenting complex data in a compelling manner and managing social media/PR.
- Personal: Must be a born-again Christian with a problem-solving aptitude.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors’ Degree in Development Administration, Social Sciences, Project Management, Business/Public Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
KEY DUTIES
Sponsorship & Student Welfare
- Maintain accurate records for sponsored families and tertiary students.
- Provide psycho-social and spiritual guidance (including Guardian Bible Studies).
- Conduct home visits to ensure sponsorship effectiveness.
- Monitor tertiary students’ academic progress and professional transitions.
Donor Coordination & Reporting
- Act as a communication link between the field and the Friends of Adziwa (FOA) donor network.
- Create school and student profiles to connect individual donors with projects.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and identify new funding streams.
Operational Excellence (MEAL & Empowerment)
- Resource Mobilization: Develop proposals and manage PR strategies.
- MEAL: Track indicator progress to measure impact and conduct budget variance analysis.
- Empowerment: Lead economic initiatives for women/youth and liaise with local authorities.
