Key responsibilities

• Sampling of incoming raw materials.
• Assessing and reporting on the quality of the raw materials using designated forms.
• Recommending for or against QAM’s approval of the raw materials after assessing their quality.
• Checking and monitoring cleanliness and hygiene of the processing areas and the overall Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practice (GHP).
• Checking quality of the raw materials including moisture and foreign matters, etc.
• Checking and monitoring product being produced in terms of product type, brand name, batch number, MFD and BBD.
• Checking and monitoring staff hygiene before commencement of duties, during production and whenever required.
• Checking quality of the packaging materials in terms of artwork and strength to withstand normal handling impact.
• Checking and monitoring product packing process in terms of product weight and seal integrity.
• Reporting problems with respect to FSMS to supervisors or other identified persons.
• Checking cleanliness and approving loading of vehicles.
• Monitoring loading and offloading of raw and packaging materials.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of Diploma in Food Science or any related field.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in food quality control and food safety.
• Ability to work under pressure.
