Background

Vision Paint & Building Services (VPBS) is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded quantity surveyor/estimator to support project pricing, cost planning, BOQ preparation, and cost control across our construction and building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Prepare detailed project cost estimates and quotations.
• Conduct material and labor rate analysis.
• Prepare project budgets and cost breakdowns.
• Obtain and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Prepare variation orders and cost assessments.
• Assist with tender preparation and submission.
• Maintain accurate pricing databases and construction rates.
• Support procurement and project teams with cost information.
• Prepare commercial reports and cost-control documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in quantity surveying, construction economics, building technology, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years’ relevant experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor, and market rates.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and construction estimating software.
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation and tendering procedures.
• Experience with digital estimating or ERP systems will be an added advantage.
