Dzaleka Online is looking for refugee journalists, writers, and storytellers who want to help share the real stories of Dzaleka. This role is for people who are interested in reporting breaking news, writing community updates, covering local events, and telling stories that reflect everyday life in the camp.

We are looking for contributors who understand the community, know what matters on the ground, and want to use writing to inform, connect, and highlight important issues.

What you will do

  • Report breaking news and community updates
  • Write feature stories and human-interest articles
  • Cover local events, culture, youth, business, and public issues
  • Share story ideas that reflect the realities of life in Dzaleka
  • Help ensure local stories are told by people who know the community well

Who we are looking for

  • Refugee journalists, writers, or aspiring storytellers
  • Strong interest in writing, reporting, and community storytelling
  • Good understanding of Dzaleka and the issues affecting the community
  • Ability to write clearly and accurately
  • Passion for sharing timely and relevant stories
  • Previous journalism experience is welcome, but not required
