REGIONAL SALES MANAGERS (3)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Regional Sales Managers tenable in our three regions: Central Region (Lilongwe), Southern Region (Blantyre) and Northern Region (Mzuzu) at Grade 5.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the successful candidates will be responsible for driving sales performance, deposits mobilisation, customer digitisation, market share growth, and service excellence within the assigned region. The role involves leading and coaching Retail Development Executives and Retail Development Officers to achieve sales targets, ensuring compliance with bank policies, and fostering strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with the bank’s objectives.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics for the region and individual members.
- Drive acquisition of high-value customers and CASA balances.
- Identify new business opportunities and oversee regional market penetration initiatives.
- Supervise and give guidance to achieve individual and team targets.
- Ensure delivery of exceptional customer service across the assigned region.
- Resolve escalated customer issues promptly.
- Promote digitalisation and reactivation (win-backs) of dormant accounts.
- Ensure adherence to Anti Money Laundering (AML), KYC, and all regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills/Competencies
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation abilities.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making.
- Ability to analyse data and drive performance improvements.
- Knowledge of banking products, AML/KYC principles
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in any business-related field.
- Minimum 2 years in sales leadership within FMCG or Telecommunications.
- Sales experience in Financial services is an added advantage, but not mandatory.
