Namuleri Limited is a Malawian enterprise with interests in clean energy and microfinance. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join our team in Lilongwe in the following role:
Renewable Energy Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and customer servicing of our solar and energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and install off-grid solar home systems and small business solutions
- Conduct site assessments, energy audits, and load profiling
- Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnostics, and repairs
- Ensure system performance testing and client orientation post-installation
- Document all technical work and client installations accurately
- Support product demonstrations and after-sales support activities
- Maintain compliance with MERA and internal quality standards
- Liaise with the operations team for logistics and stock management
Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma or TEVET Certificate in Renewable Energy, Electrical Installation, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in solar system design and installation
- Holder of a valid MERA Renewable Energy Technician Permit (Required)
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV components and configurations
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and perform load estimations
- Excellent customer interaction and field documentation skills
- Willingness to travel and work in rural sites as needed
