? Position Summary:

Research Assistants/Enumerators will support quantitative and qualitative data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, transcription, and data quality assurance under the supervision of the study co-investigator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative data collection using mobile tools such as ODK, Kobo, SurveyCTO, tablets, and smartphones
  • Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and In-Depth Interviews (IDIs)
  • Support recruitment of study participants according to study protocols
  • Transcribe audio-recorded interviews accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with research ethics, confidentiality, and informed consent procedures
  • Participate in training sessions, pilot testing, and daily debrief meetings
  • Submit completed data and field reports within required timelines
  • Report field challenges to the supervisor promptly

? Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Demography, Sociology, or related field
  • Proven experience in public health or social science research data collection
  • Proficiency in electronic/mobile data collection tools
  • Strong communication and interviewing skills
  • Experience in qualitative data transcription
  • Familiarity with adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health is an added advantage
  • Fluency in English and relevant local languages
  • Professionalism, reliability, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary research team

Added Advantages:

  • Experience conducting research in public health facilities or with government stakeholders
  • Training in research ethics or human subjects protection

Duration:

This is a short-term, project-based engagement aligned with the study data collection period.
