Background

K&J Projects Private Limited, India is currently preparing a proposal for an international consultancy assignment under the Southern Africa Trade and Connectivity Project (SATCP).

We are submitting our proposal for the following Project: SOUTHERN AFRICA TRADE AND CONNECTIVITY PROJECT (SATCP) – Consultancy Services to Undertake Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design, and Preparation of Tender Documents for Construction of two Inland Vehicle Weigh Stations along Zalewa – Mwanza (M006) Road and Liwonde – Zomba (M003) Road and Construction Supervision of Liwonde Weigh Station.

Who Should Apply?

Qualified professionals with relevant experience in highway engineering, transport infrastructure, weigh station design, and construction supervision, preferably in World Bank / internationally funded projects.

Positions Available

We are looking out for the following positions.

Resident Engineer

Input required: 12 man-months for Construction Period and DNP (Defects Notification Period).

Qualifications & Experience for Resident Engineer

A professionally qualified Civil Engineer with a minimum qualification of Masters in an equivalent field and BSc. in Civil Engineering or the equivalent, with a minimum of 20 years’ experience of which at least fifteen (15) years must have been in the design and supervision of road construction works. Candidates must have documented experience in the position of Resident Engineer on at least three (3) projects of a similar size and nature in the general region of Sub Saharan Africa.
