Job Summary:

The Safety & Security Officer is responsible for protecting the property’s assets, employees, and guests. This role involves monitoring surveillance, patrolling premises, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveillance & Patrol:

• Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems.
• Conduct regular patrols of the interior, exterior, and parking areas.
• Control access points and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.

Emergency Response:

• Act as the first responder to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, or disturbances.
• Administer basic first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services.

Safety Protocols:

• Enforce property safety rules (e.g., no smoking zones, capacity limits).
• Investigate and report accidents, thefts, or vandalism.
• Maintain the Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems and conduct regular fire drills.

Documentation:

• Maintain logs of daily activities, incidents, and lost & found items.
• Prepare detailed incident reports for management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Security Guard License or SORA certification (depending on local law).
• CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of security experience in hospitality or commercial buildings.
• Strong observational skills and a professional demeanor.
• Must be physically fit to stand/walk for long periods and respond to emergencies.
