Sales Assistant
Malawi Milk Producers Association (MMPA)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle day-to-day sales and ensure receipts are issued.
- Prepare accurate and timely weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Prepare weekly sales reports for presentation during planning meetings.
- Record sales in a specific receipt book every week.
- Reconcile bank deposits at the end of every week.
- Ensure that all supporting documentation is properly filed.
- Ensure salving is done on a daily basis and avoid keeping cash in the office or taking it home.
- Ensure that all field expenditure is supported by management-approved documentation.
- Keep debtor stocks and follow up on all overdue accounts.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Certificate in Sales and Marketing.
Diploma will be added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of three years experience in Sales and financial management.
- Familiarity with specialized accounting practices, budget monitoring, reporting requirements and procedures.
- Practical knowledge in managing Funds.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficiency in clearly communicating finance and accounting information.
- Accuracy in maintaining recordal records and ensuring financial reports.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to succeed in time management.
- High level of focus, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Proven track record of trustworthiness, reliability, and adherence to rules and systems.
- Computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and email systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and follow procedures.
