Background
Lilongwe Handling Company Limited (LIHACO) is a wholly Malawi Government owned commercial entity established in 2000. The core business of the company is to provide passenger, ramp and cargo handling services to national and international airlines, travel & tour and lounge services to passengers traveling in and out of Malawi Airports. The Company is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position at the Travel Bureau, City Centre, Lilongwe.

Sales and Ticketing Agent (LH 8)
Main Responsibilities
- Handle airline reservations, bookings, ticket issuance other travel documents.
- Provide professional travel advise to clients on routes, fares, schedules and travel requirements
- assist customers with itinerary planning, rebooking and ticket changes
- Promote and sell travel related products and services to achieve sales targets
- Contact booked clients and advising on flight changes.
- Preparing Sales Reports on daily basis.
- Deposit sales funds in authorized banks.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints professionally and timely
- Coordinate with airlines and other services providers to ensure smooth travel arrangements
Educational Qualification
Minimum: IATA Diploma or Diploma in Travel and Tourism management.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Travel and Tourism Industry .
Abilities and Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer Oriented
- Good sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail
