JOB DETAILS:
OVERVIEW:
Saint Louis High School, a reputable private secondary school in Dedza District, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of School Nurse.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage).
- Registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi.
- Knowledge of School Health and Nutrition (SHN).
- Knowledge of Youth Friendly Health Services (YFHS).
- Experience in a similar position (added advantage).
- High integrity, honesty, and self motivation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be aged 27 years and above.
DUTIES:
- Provide first aid and basic health care services to students and staff.
- Conduct health assessments and maintain student health records.
- Develop and implement care plans for chronic or acute conditions.
- Administer and monitor medication.
- Coordinate school health screening programs.
- Promote health education and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and health facilities for student well being.
- Perform other health related duties as assigned by management.

Level of Education: associate degree
