Position Title: Security Supervisor
Department: Administration
Location: Kasungu Factory
Reporting to: Head of Department (Administration)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities (which include, but not limited to):
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of security guards and other security personnel.
- Preparing and managing security duty rosters and shift schedule.
- Conducting regular inspections of security posts and ensuring guards remain alert and properly deployed.
- Ensuring that all security personnel comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
- Monitoring access and exit points and ensuring proper identification and visitor-control procedures.
- Conducting routine patrols and security checks of company premises.
- Responding promptly to security incidents, emergencies and breaches.
- Recording, investigating and reporting security incidents to management.
- Ensuring proper maintenance of security registers, occurrence books, patrol reports and other records.
- Liaising with police, emergency services and other relevant authorities when necessary.
- Conducting security briefings and toolbox talks for security staff.
- Identifying security risks and recommending appropriate corrective measures.
- Ensuring that security guards are properly uniformed, equipped and presentable.
- Monitoring attendance, punctuality, discipline and performance of security personnel.
- Assisting in the recruitment, induction and training of security guards.
- Carrying out investigations into theft, damage, trespassing and other security-related incidents.
- Performing any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
EDUCATION
Applicants should have:
- A Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent.
- A certificate, diploma or degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement or a related field will be an added advantage.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in security, preferably with the Malawi Police Service or Malawi Defence Force.
