Malawi Airlines Limited is a registered partnership company with shareholding between Malawi Government and Ethiopian Airlines Enterprise. Malawi Airlines is the national flag carrier that operates B737-700, B737- 800 and Q400 Aircrafts having direct flights to regional cities of Johannesburg; Lusaka; Harare, Nairobi, Entebbe and Dares Salaam; besides daily domestic flights between Lilongwe and Blantyre.

Responsibilities

• To provide suspensory role in revenue and treasury sections
• Provide guidance to staff in the respective sections
• Ensure timeliness in data submission to both external an internal parties
• Ensure thorough review of data for accuracy, completeness before submission
• Prepare for period end schedules for purposes of internal management reporting and external audit reporting
• Pass journal vouchers every month of revenue figures and treasury.
• Ensure strict adherence to the safety and security standards of Malawi Airlines.

Qualifications and Work Experience

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent from recognized institution.
• MSCE
• At least 3 years’ working experience as senior accountant or supervisor in accounting
• Those with direct aviation accounting experience will have added advantage
• Vast experience of accounting packages, Deep knowledge of accounting standards
• Those with SAP accounting experience and undergoing professional studies e.g. ACCA/ ICAM/CIMA will have added advantage.
• High level proven integrity.
