Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight of the Quality Control and Laboratory functions.
  • Supervise and coordinate chemical and physical testing of raw materials, clinker, cement and other process materials.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, specifications and laboratory procedures.
  • Monitor and control the quality of raw materials and products throughout the production process.
  • Review laboratory results, identify deviations and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide technical support to Production, Mining and other departments on process and product quality issues.
  • Develop, review and improve laboratory testing methods, procedures and quality control systems.
  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance and verification of laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results and quality reports.
  • Participate in quality investigations, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the laboratory complies with health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop laboratory staff and promote good laboratory practices.
  • Assist management with quality-related reporting, audits, standards compliance and process optimisation.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a cement, mining, manufacturing or mineral-processing environment.
  • Strong practical experience in chemical analysis, quality control and laboratory operations.
  • Experience with cement/raw material testing and quality standards will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail.
