Centenary Bank invites applications from suitably qualified and results-driven professionals for the position of Senior Digital Sales Officer, reporting to the Head of Channels.

Role Purpose

The Senior Digital Sales Officer is responsible for driving growth, adoption, and profitability of the Bank’s digital channels, including mobile banking, agency banking, merchant acquiring, POS, cards, and other alternative platforms. The role will lead digital sales execution, expand the Bank’s distribution footprint, and ensure strong performance, compliance, and customer experience across all digital channels.Mobile Phones

Responsibilities or duties

Digital Channel Growth & Revenue

  • Drive customer acquisition, onboarding, activation, and usage across digital platforms.
  • Increase transaction volumes, deposits, and fee income through targeted sales initiatives.
  • Promote migration from branch-based transactions to digital channels.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance customer experience and digital uptake.

Agency & Merchant Network Development

  • Expand and manage a high-performing agency banking and merchant network.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, activation, and productivity of agents and merchants.
  • Ensure service quality, operational efficiency, and network profitability.
  • Strengthen relationships with field teams, agents, and merchants to drive performance.

Mobile Banking Activation & Customer Engagement

  • Champion mobile banking growth through branch collaboration and field engagement.
  • Educate customers on digital use cases, benefits, and self-service features.
  • Support customer activation and retention initiatives.

Performance Monitoring & Insights

  • Track and analyse digital channel performance metrics including active users, transaction volumes, values, and revenue.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports and actionable insights for management.
  • Recommend data-driven strategies to improve growth, profitability, and efficiency.

Compliance, Risk & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with RBM regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including KYC records, onboarding registers, and performance reports.
  • Support audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Uphold high standards of integrity, customer protection, and brand representation.

Market Intelligence & Innovation

  • Monitor market trends and competitor digital offerings.
  • Contribute to product enhancements, pricing strategies, commissions, and incentive frameworks.
  • Support pilot programs and rollout of new digital solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital financial services, agency banking, merchant acquiring, or alternative channels.
  • Strong sales leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid analytical and performance-tracking capability.
  • Ability to manage field-based operations independently.
  • High level of integrity and compliance awareness.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
