Workforce Recruitment Services seeks to recruit a highly competent and experienced Service Centre Manager on behalf of a client in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the service centre, ensuring excellent customer service, driving operational performance, and leading the service team to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities or duties
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the dealership service department.
- Leading, coaching, and developing the service team to achieve performance targets.
- Ensuring exceptional customer service and high customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring workshop productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Managing service advisors, technicians, and workshop support staff.
- Ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, and health and safety requirements.
- Planning and controlling workshop capacity, job allocation, and turnaround times.
- Managing warranty claims, quality control, and technical issue resolution.
- Driving revenue growth through labour sales, parts sales, and value-added services.
- Preparing and monitoring departmental budgets, KPIs, and performance reports.
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers and resolving escalated service concerns.
Qualifications or requirements
Experience needed
- Proven experience in managing an automotive dealership service department.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good commercial and financial acumen.
- A relevant qualification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management would be an added advantage.
